Michael Phelps won the event after coming from behind Serbia’s Milorad Cavic, to beat him by one one-hundredth of a second. Australian Andrew Lauterstein won the bronze medal, finishing one one-hundredth of a second ahead of American world record holder Ian Crocker.
Cavic did not win, the Magic suit did thats why they give Phelps the Gold, can’t have no cheats winnning
Phelps is a Legend, but surely his motivation won’t be as good in London, he won’t be as hungry, therefore Lochte, Cseh, Rock, Cavic and Biedermann will be the ones to Watch, and myself
“cavic is in, I don’t know what we’re looking at here”
“you are kidding me, you are kidding me”
that announcer was didn’t sound like he was cheering for Phelps. Hell, I’m not American and I was cheering for Phelps. Watching this just makes me wanna train for something. To know that 1/100th of a second means something, geez.
Just one word:
Lucky
I mean Phelps is way better than Cavic but this was only lucky but we have seen at the WC that he’s really the better swimmer but htis was lucky.
Can’t really fault him. He’d be a? national hero in Serbia if he won Olympic gold, while in the US, he’d be just another swimming champion.
Also, when he first started, he may have thought his chances of making it onto the US team were slim, whereas very few Olympic-quality swimmers come out of Serbia.

No, it is not.
A 49.90 is a roughly 57 for long course.
If you don’t believe me, look it up.
My 100 fly for yards is 47 and for meters its a 55.
As for you friend, that’s pretty fast for a fourteen year old but you have to remember that the American record in the 100 yard fly is 44.1 (Austin Staab).
@jaybo1015, heh, you know that Cavic grew up in California, right? He’s pretty much an all-American…except for the nationality printed on his passport =P
hey everyone. you probably wont believe me, but i am going to tell you anyways. My friend is 14 years old, and his 100 yard butterfly time is 49.90!!!!!! That is extremely fast!! he will own michael phelps in a year or less. possibly before he is 15. He is unbeatable!
thats why my coach always telling me ‘don’t put your head up on the finish!”
